Formaldehyde

so the new issue of CommonCreativ is out! it's a pretty interesting read featuring a list of the 50 most creative people in Atlanta. I am going to assume that the reason I'm not on the list is because I am considered a contributing editor on the magazine's staff. haha. joking aside, huge honor and I'm proud to be a part of such a cool publication.
anyway, spooky scary story time:
you can read the entire magazine on Calameo. I highly recommend doing so! my story is on page 42. don't read it alone in the dark or anything! HA.

movies in 2011

really, this is more of a list for me to refer back to as the year goes on than something interesting you'll enjoy reading. but I hope you'll all agree with me that this year looks like it'll be tremendous for movies. at least, a lot better than the last two years.

Everything + You: A field guide

I posted the first part of the book I'm writing at another blog. it's the same concept as "Summerheat", just the entire story. like, what happens to him when he decides to step out into the world and live the life that's perfect for him. I don't know yet if I'll post more of it or not. REMAINS TO BE SEEN.

new short story "Formaldehyde" is going to appear in next month's issue of CommonCreativATL. I'll post a link when they publish it to their website. goodbye, friends and lovers.

my top 10 albums

according to my iTunes, the ten albums I've listened to the most are:

10. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga by Spoon
9. Evil Urges by My Morning Jacket
8. Our Ill Wills by the Shout Out Louds
7. Night Falls Over Kortedala by Jens Lekman
6. The Smiths by the Smiths
5. Disintegration by the Cure
4. Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
3. Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen
2. Dreamt For Lightyears in the Belly of a Mountain by Sparklehorse
1. Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian

interesting.
anyway, I wrote a new story. it might be published in Common Creativ but I dunno yet, because I only just sent it to the editor. it's a super bizarre horror story with a Lovecraftian bent (if it's in Wiktionary, then that's good enough for me; it's a real word, dammit). I just felt the strong desire to write something creepy, because I haven't done so since high school. and those all blew. so I think this one is way better. I even kind of scared myself while I was writing it. hopefully, that's a good sign! I'll post a link to it, wherever it goes up.
